Frequently asked questions

Welcome to our FAQ, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about owning a chalet at Seaview Park. Whether you’re planning a serene retirement by the coast or considering a holiday home for family getaways, we’re here to help you find all the information you need.

General questions

Ideally located close to miles and miles of clean and unspoilt beaches in Leysdown in Kent, our parks offer a picturesque
and relaxing retreat from the stresses and strains of daily life.

All three of our parks are close to fantastic local amenities, which are just a short bus ride or walk away, and with plenty of countryside to explore, beautiful towns and villages to wander around and exciting attractions, the adventurous amongst you are sure to find plenty to do.

Seaview Park offers 2-bedroom new-build chalets, available all year-round and 10-month seasonal site license caravans. Both options cater to families and couples.

We also have a wide range of competitively priced caravans for sale to suit all budgets.

There are no restrictions on occupancy.

You can enjoy your chalet all year round with the freedom to do so.

With a 12-month rent notice, the possibilities are endless – whether it’s escaping for a cosy winter retreat, savouring sunny summer days, or even making the chalet your permanent home. It’s your space, your getaway, ready whenever you need it.

We have two different offerings at Seaview: chalets that have no restriction on occupancy and caravans, which can only be occupied for ten months of the year, in January and February, the caravans have to be vacated. Also, they cannot be used as a permanent address. Chalets have no restrictions at all.

This occurred after the planning permission was granted for the site. In 1963, the site was granted planning permission at appeal, which established the permanent use of the land as a holiday park for the stationing of caravans and the erection of chalets. The chalets were not subject to a limited occupancy condition, whereas the caravans on the site were subject to limited occupancy. The planning history of the site confirms that subsequent planning permissions relating to the site continued this principle.

If you access the local authority planning portal you can see many references to this in planning applications submitted and approved.

There’s no reason why a chalet can’t be used as the primary residence address in the UK; the chalets pay council tax and meet all requirements.
