Finding a home by the coast that is both beautiful and truly accessible can be a challenge. At Seaview Park, we believe everyone deserves a comfortable and welcoming place to relax and make memories. That’s why we have placed inclusivity at the heart of our community, designing our park and 12-month chalets to meet a wide range of needs. If you’re looking for a year-round retreat that prioritises accessibility, discover what makes Seaview Park the ideal choice.

Designed for everyone: Park-wide accessibility

We have carefully considered how residents and visitors move around Seaview Park. Our goal is to ensure that every corner of our community is easy to navigate, allowing you to enjoy all the facilities we have to offer without barriers.

Getting around with ease

From the moment you arrive, you’ll find dedicated disabled parking bays conveniently located throughout the park. We’ve ensured that our pathways and roadways are wide and well-maintained, making them wheelchair-friendly and suitable for those with mobility aids. This commitment extends to our main buildings, with ramp access provided for both the Seaview Office and our chalets, ensuring a smooth and step-free experience.

Inclusive recreation

A highlight for many of our residents is the swimming pool, and we’ve made sure it’s accessible for all. The pool area is wheelchair accessible, and we have installed steps at one end for easy entry and exit, providing a safer and more comfortable way to enjoy a swim. All our shared facilities, including the launderette, children’s play park, and dog walking area, are designed to be fully accessible, so no one misses out on the vibrant community life at Seaview Park.

Your home, your way: Accessible 12-month chalets

Our 12-month chalets are more than just a place to stay; they are your personal retreat by the Kent coast. We have designed our new builds with accessibility and comfort as standard, providing a perfect base that you can make truly your own.

Thoughtful design as standard

Every new chalet at Seaview Park is a single-storey, ground-level home, eliminating the need to navigate stairs. Ramp access comes as standard, allowing for effortless entry and exit. Inside, you will find spacious, open-plan living areas. The combined kitchen, dining, and living room spaces provide ample room to move, making it easy for wheelchair users to navigate their homes comfortably and independently.

Customised for your needs

We understand that accessibility is not one-size-fits-all. While our new chalets feature standard-height work surfaces, we are happy to accommodate special requirements. If you need lower countertops in the kitchen, grab bars in the bathroom, or other specific modifications, we can work with you to customise your chalet prior. Our team is dedicated to helping you create a home that perfectly suits your lifestyle (please note that costs may be incurred depending on the requirements).

A welcoming community and supportive environment

Accessibility goes beyond physical structures; it’s about creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels supported. At Seaview Park, our community spirit is one of our greatest assets.

Our team are here to help

While we do not have staff specifically trained in sign language, our friendly team is on hand during office hours to assist any residents or visitors who need support. Whether you have a question or need a helping hand, our staff are always happy to help make your time here as enjoyable as possible.

A commitment to continuous improvement

Our dedication to accessibility is an ongoing journey. We are always listening to the needs of our residents and visitors, and we continually look for ways to adapt and enhance our facilities. By staying responsive to our community, we ensure that Seaview Park remains a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone, now and in the future.
